Jasna Mansion stands where the village gives way to the mountains. The architecture is restrained — wood, stone, and broad glass that holds the forest in every room. Mornings begin with the light coming down off the peaks; evenings settle around the fireplace as the valley darkens.
The house was made for gathering. A fully equipped kitchen opens to living space that absorbs a full party without crowding, and four bedrooms give everyone a corner of their own. Lake Jasna lies minutes below, the trailheads of Triglav National Park closer still.
This is the Alps lived in, not looked at — a base for skiing in winter, for walking and water in summer, and for doing very little at all.
